Pinocchio also known as Pinokio is a 2014–2015 south korean drama / tv series starring Park Shin-hye, Lee Jong-suk and Kim Young-kwang. It aired on SBS from November 12, 2014 to January 15, 2015 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 (12:55 UTC) for 20 episodes.
A child living a happy life with his parents and older brother. He grew up in a family with his father as the captain of the firefighting squad. He and his older brother both possess higher than normal intellect and are proud of their father. Until one day his father dies during a rescue in a factory explosion. His mother dies in a short time later and he ends up being scooped out of the ocean by a kind elderly man.
The elderly man that pulls him out of the ocean is a grandfather of a girl who has pinocchio syndrome, which causes her to hiccup whenever she tells a lie. He who has no one else in the world after the accident, treats the elderly man as his father and a girl with pinocchio syndrome as his niece even has a same age as him, and they become a family.
Years later, this family are now living in Seoul. He driving a taxi to support the family and the girl with pinocchio syndrome become a reporter. One day accidentally he decides also to become a reporter but in a different Broadcasting Station. Together, they try to bring the honest news reporting, while uncovering a bigger conspiracy in the news industry.
